Tiny Tumbling

[Beginner Level 1]

Tiny Tumbling is the perfect introduction to movement and tumbling fundamentals for young athletes! This class focuses on proper body shapes and control while building strength and coordination. Athletes will learn key skills like rolls, handstands, and more — all with a focus on safe, correct technique. Big fun for tiny tumblers! Age: 4-6 years.

Intro to Level 1 Tumbling

[Beginner Level 1]

Intro to Level 1 Tumbling will focus on proper shapes and body control in basic tumbling skills. Athletes will work on training proper technique for skills such as rolls, handstands, and even beginner steps for walkovers. Age: +5 years.

Walkovers

[Level 1]

Walkovers will focus on proper technique for both front walkovers and back walkovers. This class is also great for our athletes working to perfect their technique of their front and back walkovers. Age: +5 years.

Ready to flip your skills to the next level? Intro to Back Handsprings is all about mastering the power, form, and confidence behind a strong back handspring! Perfect for athletes leveling up from Level 1 to Level 2 or anyone looking to sharpen their single handspring technique. Age: +6 years.

[Level 2]

Perfecting Handspring Connections

[Level 2-3]

Perfecting Handspring Connections will focus primarily on Advanced and Elite Level 2 AND Level 3 tumbling skills— such as Back Handspring series, Handspring Stepout connections, Front Handspring series, etc. Age: +7 years.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Standing Back Handspring, Front Handspring, AND Round off Back Handspring

SEPTEMBER

Tucks

[Level 3]

Tucks class will focus on all things tucks. Athletes will work on the proper shapes and safety required for Punch Fronts and Running Tucks. This class is meant for athletes transitioning from perfected Elite Level 2 tumbling to Level 3. Age: +7 years.

[Level 3-4]

Punch Fronts & Stepouts will focus primarily on proper form of Advanced and Elite Level front tumbling of Levels 3 AND 4— such as Punch Fronts and Punch Front Stepout connections, as well as Front Handspring Punch Front connections, etc. Age: +7 years.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Tall Landing Front Handspring AND Flyspring

Tucks to Layouts

[Level 4]

Tucks to Layouts will focus on proper shape, power, and connection required for Level 4 tumbling skills—such as Layouts, Punch Front Stepouts, Whips, and Standing Handsprings to Tucks. This class is meant for athletes mastering their level 3 tumbling and working to progress to level 4 tumbling. Age: +7 years.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Standing Back Handspring (BHS) series, Round off BHS Tuck, AND Punch Front

Twisting

[Level 5&6]

Twisting class will focus on both front and back level 5-6 skills—such as Full Twisting Layouts, Double Fulls, Arabians, etc. This class is meant for athletes transitioning from perfected Level4 tumbling to Level 5 tumbling or Level 5 tumbling to Level 6 tumbling. Age: +7 years.

Jumps

Jumps & Flexibility is a strength based class packed with drills to increase athletes range of motion, power and control. This class is a strength-based class meant to improve flexibility, endurance, and overall technique. Ages: 7+.

*Please note- this class will be a 30-minute drop-in style class. Athlete’s will be billed $5 per session attended. Athlete’s should be registered through the portal by the start time of class.

Base Building

Base Building is a strength class geared towards bases and backspots. Athletes will strengthen their basing basics through drills and strength training. This class will help break down the technical components of basing and backspotting while increasing athlete’s muscle strength and awareness required for stunting at all levels. Age: +5 years.

Flight School

Flight School is a class for flyers. Flyers will get hands-on stunting, work flexibility and strength through various drills to improve their skill set. Priority registration will be given to athletes that are currently choreographed flyers at Northern Elite. Age: +5 years.

Flyer Flexibility & Stability

Flyer Flexibility & Stability class will focus on building strength, flexibility, performance, and overall technique required for success in the air. This class is geared towards flyers looking to maximize flexibility and the strength required to maintain proper body awareness while in stunts. Ages: +7 years.
