Northern Elite All Stars (Northern Elite or NEAS) is a private non-profit organization serving cheer, dance and gymnastic athletes in Minnesota. From our first practice in 2001, Northern Elite has always strived to be “the best of the best.” Through various competitions, performances, and practices, our staff strives to develop the whole athlete - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Many of our athletes have continued from our program to cheer for collegiate and professional teams. While the most obvious way that we help the youth in our program is by bettering their skills and helping them reach their athletic potential, we believe our program serves a higher purpose. Our competitive program’s primary purpose is to teach growing young adults how to work together as a team. While each individual’s contribution is certainly important, we feel that team effort is the way to reach your goals. Throughout a person’s life, they will be put in situations where they must work together to achieve common goals. Whether in their professional or social life, teamwork is a lifetime lesson more valuable than tumbling skills.
While the hours, weeks, months, even years of work that go into improving stunts, tumbling, jumps, and dance will improve your skills and your chances of cheering or dancing in college, much more important than that are the lessons you can learn about sportsmanship, working together towards goals, and striving to win. While we have enough trophies to fill the gym, we are most proud of the life lessons that we have been able to give to the youth in our program.
Everyone in the Northern Elite family takes part when any of our athletes are performing. The feeling that you get when taking the floor to a sea of noise is indescribable. It is very important that all Northern Elite members cheer and support every other team that performs.
Being a member of a Northern Elite team will give your child a stage on which to develop confidence, poise, mental & physical discipline, determination, and self-respect. He or she will develop close relationships with other young athletes that demand the best of themselves and expect the best in others. He or she will learn how to set goals and strive to achieve them. On top of all of these things, we will also have a lot of fun! Come check us out!!
